Sigari 3

Sigari is built from fragments of an Italian-American tobacco company based in Philadelphia, weathered advertisements, and a found letterpress plate. Each work layers collage, acrylic, pastel, and solvent washes to recreate the patina of old walls — surfaces marked by memory, residue, and quiet erosion.

Every piece sits at the intersection of reconstruction and decay: printed letters drifting into abstraction, torn edges becoming texture, and commercial language dissolving into something more poetic. This series marks an early exploration of themes that continue through my practice today — impermanence, repetition, and the beauty found in worn, utilitarian marks.

These limited print editions originate from three original works, each individually made and hand-finished, and distinguished by its own material presence.

Sigari 3 leans into deep blacks and rusted oranges, creating a composition that feels closest to a weathered street poster peeled back over time.
